Software for Switchers (as well as longtime Mac users) Part IV: Perian

It's been a while since I have posted an application in this series of blog entries. This time I have chosen the codec pack Perian "the swiss army-knife for Quicktime". As the name suggests Perian is a codec pack for Quicktime. Since Quicktime doesn't support a whole lot of codecs out of the box it sure is a good idea to install this useful codec pack on your new Mac if you are a switcher.
