If you are a desktop customizer you probably know of the great site called MacThemes. It has been one of the best places for customizers to get pretty icons, wallpapers, themes etc. However, since today the site is down due to some legal hick hack. This sure is a great loss for all the desktop customizers out there. Let's hope that this is only temporary and MacThemes will make it back.
In the meanwhile the search for an alternative source for customization resources begins...do you know of another great site? If so why not let all the readers know where you get your pretty icons from? Looking forward to seeing some great recommendations.
(or is it just an April fool's joke? I guess we'll know more when time passes)

Macworld 2008 just in a couple of hours - best places to follow!
So Macworld 2008 is about to start in a couple of hours. There have been many rumors the most discussed being the Macbook Air lately. I personally don't really like the name (it kind of reminds me of Nike Air and Air Jordans, but oh well).

Cool, slim computer table (ikeahacker)
Today I have found a very cool, slim computer table at ikehacker that I wanted to present. In my opinion this solution is truly useful for people that want a computer table that does not take too much space. Now imagine this table with a cool iMac on it-wouldn't that be something?

I have come across an interesting blog where some hackers try to get the iPod touch to be VoIP ready. Apparently, they are pretty close to getting the job done. Now this would be very interesting since it would be kind of like the iPhone without the contract.

More powerful QuickLook (Sites and Blogs)

Today I'd like to introduce to you a site that I have come across by coincidence.
I am not quite sure how many of you use QuickLook in Leopard but for me QuickLook is one of the features that I like the most (besides Stacks and Spaces). However, there are some file types that can't be loaded in QuickLook by default. Well, no worries there is a site called QuickLook Plugins that has some plugins to enhance QuickLook.
It is a rather young blog so there aren't that many plugins posted yet but I think with time the list of plugins will grow. It is definitely worth a visit.

I have come across a new site that is dedicated to Leopard. It still is in its early stages but there are already some interesting tips that I didn't know of. Hopefully, in time it will develop into a nice place where switchers can find all types of information regarding the new OS X.

I am not sure if any other icons like these are out there but these just are awesome.
I originally didn't even like the Stacks feature but with a slick look like this you just have to use them in your dock to show off.

How to customize your Stacks in Leopard
Besides the 3D dock and the half transparent menu bar in Leopard the fact that Stacks are not very customizable is one of the most critiqued aspects of the new Mac OS X. The 3D dock you can easily change using 3rd party software (read here). The menu bar can be changed pretty easily also (using applications like OpaqueMenuBar).
So today I'd like to link to a page that explains how to customize the appearance of your Stacks. A very nice tutorial can be found here with cool Stacks replacement icons also. After you follow the instructions your dock will look like this:
which I definitely prefer to the standard look.

Diggit for Mac fans and owners

It's basically like digg in the sense that users submit stories and can rate them by "macitt-ing". I think this might develop into something really nice in time, since it is Mac focused. It certainly is worth a visit.
