If you are a desktop customizer you probably know of the great site called MacThemes. It has been one of the best places for customizers to get pretty icons, wallpapers, themes etc. However, since today the site is down due to some legal hick hack. This sure is a great loss for all the desktop customizers out there. Let's hope that this is only temporary and MacThemes will make it back.
In the meanwhile the search for an alternative source for customization resources begins...do you know of another great site? If so why not let all the readers know where you get your pretty icons from? Looking forward to seeing some great recommendations.
(or is it just an April fool's joke? I guess we'll know more when time passes)

I am not sure if any other icons like these are out there but these just are awesome.
I originally didn't even like the Stacks feature but with a slick look like this you just have to use them in your dock to show off.

How to customize your Stacks in Leopard
Besides the 3D dock and the half transparent menu bar in Leopard the fact that Stacks are not very customizable is one of the most critiqued aspects of the new Mac OS X. The 3D dock you can easily change using 3rd party software (read here). The menu bar can be changed pretty easily also (using applications like OpaqueMenuBar).
So today I'd like to link to a page that explains how to customize the appearance of your Stacks. A very nice tutorial can be found here with cool Stacks replacement icons also. After you follow the instructions your dock will look like this:
which I definitely prefer to the standard look.

Awesome wallpapers by manicho @ deviantart
Today I would like to introduce you the awesome wallpaper work by manicho (deviantart) whose wallpapers I really like and which can also be seen on the two screenshots I posted a while back. He does take beautiful photography and by putting in abstract elements creates a totally different style of wallpapers. He truly is one of my favorite wallpaper artists and I always enjoy his work.
